President Hillenbrand has instructed me to notify you that there will be an adjoumed meeting of the stated meeting of June 23, 1945, of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University, on
|;    Monday, July 2, 1945, convening at 3:00 p.m. in the Columbia Club, Indianapolis, Indiana, in order to consider and act upon any matter
I    or business that may come before said meeting.

President Hillenbrand called the meeting to order. The following Trustees 1: were present: Messrs. Cole, Hanley, Hillenbrand, Lynn, Sherv/ood, Thompson and li Wilson, constituting a majority and quorum of the Board. By consent, the absences li of Miss McHale and Mr. Stuart, because of urgent business elsewhere, were excused.

By consent of the Board, Mr, Hanley served as acting secretary of the meeting,
I III. PRESENTATION OF CERTIFECATE OF APPOINTMENT OF MR^ CHARLES J^ LYNN,
^    Mr, Charles J, Lynn presented his certificate of appointment by the Govemor : to the Board of Trustees of Purdue University, effective July 1, 1945, for a period I of three years or until his successor is appointed and qualified.
Mr. Lynn had been duly qualified by subscribing to his oath of office,

i    Mr. R. Hartley Sherwood presented his certificate of appointment by the '\  Governor to the Board of Trustees of Purdue University, effective July 1, 1945, i for a period of three years or until his successor is appointed and qualified.
Mr. Sherwood had been duly qualified b• subscribing to his oath of office.

President Hillenbrand reported vacancies on the Executive and Finance Com- i mittee, the Investment Committee, the Committee on Physical Plant and Equipment, ¦ the Committee on Inspection of All Experimental Farms, the special committee to
study labor education problems, and the Purdue fiesearch Foundation Board of
Directors.
By consent,  the Board approved the following appointments announced by President Hillenbrand;
