Xs. NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees of the Trustees of Purdue University assembled in
I Eliza Fowler Hall Wednesday August 8, 1934, in response to the following
notice mailed by the Secretary to each member of the Board on July 25, 1954:
"I am instructed to notify you that there will be a called meeting of the Board of Trustees of Purdue University at 9:50 A.M., Wednesday August 8, 1934, in Eliza Fowler Hall.
This meeting is called to consider and act upon the budget for transmission to the legislature for the biennium 1935-57; and also to consider and act upon a proposition for the construction of an administration building and the plans therefor and the financing thereof, either tiirough application to the Federal Public Works Administration or otherwise; and for the consideration of any other business that may be presented."
II. FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF REAPPOIITTMENT. Mrs. Virginia C. Meredith, Mr. David E. Ross and Mr. Robert A. Simpson
presented their certificates of reappointment to the Board of Trustees of Purdue University, all effective July 1, 1934, for the period of three years or until their successors are appointed and qualify. All had duly qualified before a notary.
III. ROLLCALL. There were present: Mrs. Meredith, Messrs Edgerton, Hall, Hillenbrand,
Kimbrough, Lilly, Noel, Simpson, President Ross and the President of the ^ University.
President Ross presided and the Secretary acted as secretary.
Controller Stewart and Professor F. C. Hockema, Assistant to the Presi¬ dent of the University, were present during the afternoon session; and Mr. Allison E. Stuart, legal counsel for the Board was present during part of the afternoon.
