1^   NOTICE OF.MEETING,
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in annual meeting in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of Purdue Univer¬ sity at 9:30 a,m,, Wednesday, October 20, 1948, pursuant to the following notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on September 20, 1948:
In accordance with the provisions of the By-Laws, there will be an annual meeting of.the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Wednesday and Thursday, October 20-21, 1948, convening at 9:30 a,m,, Wednesday, October 20, in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University, in order to consider and act vqpon any matter or business that may come before said meeting,
II, ROLL CALL,
President Stuart called the meeting to order at 9:30 a,m. All members of the Board were present as follows: Mrs. Van Ness, Messrs, Calland, Cole, Hanley, Lynn, O'Brien, Sherwood, Stuart and Thompson, Also present were President Hovde, Controller Stewart, Assistant Controller Kettler, Secretary Hockema and Assistant Secretary Skinner,
III, APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF BOARD MEETING HELD APRIL 21.1948.
The Secretary reported that the minutes of the stated meeting of the Board of Trustees held April 21, 1948, had been sent to each Trustee, and that no sug¬ gestions or corrections had been received from any Trustee.
After disctission and upon motion (Hanley-Thompson) unanimously carried, the minutes of the Board meeting held April 21, 1948, were approved,
IV, APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF BOARD MEETING HELD JUNE 12, 1948.
The Secretary reported that the minutes of the stated meeting of the Board of Trustees held Jvine 12, 1948, had been sent to each Trustee, and that the only comment received had been a suggestion from Mr, Sherwood concerning the form of minutes such as Minute XXXIII, REPORT RE DORIANI CASE.
After discussion and hy unanimous consent, the Board approved the minutes of the Board meeting held June 12, 1948,

The Secretary reported that the minutes of the special meeting of the Board of Trtistees held July 12, 1948, had been sent to each Trustee, and that the only suggestion received was that of Mr, Stuart to insert "the Board of Trustees of" after "BE IT RESOLVED by," Minute VIII, APPLICATION FOR TRANSFER OF EPHA HOUSING TO THE UNIVERSITY, The Secretary further reported that, on August 31 and September 1, five Trustees had approved, by telephone, the insertion of an ad¬ ditional project number in the body of Minute VIII, and presented the final form of paragraph 2, Minute VIII, for approval and confirmation as follows:
