L NOTICE OF MEETING.
May 30, 1959
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened i in stated meeting in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of Purdue ji University at 1:32 pm on Saturday, May 30, 1959. pursuant to agreement of the Board of Trustees on May 1, 1959, and further pursuant to the following ! notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on May 7, 1959:
j In accordance with the provisions of the By-Laws, there will be a
ji stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue
ji University on Saturday, May 30, 1959, convening at 1:30 pm CDT
ji in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University,
I; in order to;
I 1. Consider and act upon the budgets of the University, the
Agricultural Experiment Station, the Agricultural Extension j Service, and the Self-Supporting Enterprises for the year
I 1959-1960;
I
i 2. Consider and act upon any other fiscal problems related to j the budget;
i 3. Consider and act upon any other matter or business w^hich
i may come before said meeting.

President Hanley called the meeting to order at 1:32 p.m. , following i luncheon at Purdue Memorial Union. All members of the Board except two iwere present as follows: Mrs. Van Ness, Messrs. Hanley, Kettler, Moore,
Schenck, Thompson and Wilson. By consent, the absences of Messrs. Bannon land DeLaurier were excused. Also present were President Hovde, Treasurer I Stewart, Assistant Treasurer Freehafer, Counsel Schilling, Executive Dean
MaUett, Assistant Business Manager Gabbard, Assistant to the President iHicks, Legal Assistant Lowe, Comptroller Linn, Assistant Pereida, and |Secretary Skinner. Mr. Johnston, Bureau of Information, was in attendance, jas well as Mr. D. F. Firm, Purchasing Agent, for a portion of the meeting.
I in. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MARCH 18, 1959. MEETING OF THE
iBOARD OF TRUSTEES.
P The Secretary reported that a copy of the minutes of the special meeting
ijof the Board of Trustees held March 18, 1959, had been sent to each Trustee, and that no suggestion or correction had been received from any Trustee.
