I2. NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University met in toe Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of toe University at 9:00 a.m. (CSTj 10:00 a.m. CDT) on Friday, Juty 22, 1949* pursuant to toe fonowing notice sent to each Trustee ty toe Secre-tary on July 6, 1949:
President Stuart has asked me to notity you toat toere win be a ! .   special meeting of toe Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue
University on Friday, July 22, 1949, convening at 9:00 a.m., CST (10:00 a.m., CDT), in toe Trustees' Room of toe Executive Building of Purdue University, in order to:
1, Receive, open and act upon bids for toe construction of toe first building of toe Regional Poultry Laboratory; and
2, Consider and act upon any otoer matter or business >diidi may come before said meeting.
II. BOLL CALL.
President Stuart caned toe meeting to order at 9:00 a,m. (CST), An mem¬ bers of toe Board except Mr, Canand, Mr, Lynn and Mr, O'Brien were present as follows: Mrs, Van Ness, Messrs, Hanley, Kettler, Sherwood, Stuart and Thompson. The absences of Messrs. Calland, Lynn and O'Briaa were excused ty consent. Also present were President Hovde, Controner Stewart, Assistant Controner Kettler, Secretery Hockema and Assistant Secretsiry Skinner.
III. PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATE OF APPOINTMENT OF MR. ALFRED W, KETTLER,
Mr, Alfred W, Kettler presented his certificate of appoin-tment ty toe Governor to the Board of Trustees of Purdue University, effective Juty 1, 1949» for a period of toree years or imtn his successor is appointed and qualified,
Mr. Kettler had been duly qualified ty subscribing to his oato of office.
IVa. PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATE OF REAPPOINTMENT OF MRS. HARRIET B. VAN NESS.
Mrs, Harriet B. Van Ness presented her certificate of reappointment ty toe Governor to toe Board of Trustees of Purdue University, effective Juty 1, 1949, for a period of toree years or untn her successor is appointed and qualified.
Mrs. Van Ness had been duly quanfied ty subscribing to her oato of office.
