I The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University
ii convened in stated meeting in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building
ij of the University at 9:31 a, m, on Wednesday, April 19, 1961, pursuant to
ii action of the Board of Trustees on January 18, I96I, and further pursuant
to the following notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary
on March 29, 1961:
In accordance with the provisions of the By-Laws and pursuant
jj to action of the Board of Trustees on January 18, I96I, there
will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees
;i of Purdue University on Wednesday, April 19, 1961, convening
jj at 9:30 a, m. CDT in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Build-
I ing of the University, in order to:
ij 1. Receive, open, consider and act upon bids for the
¦i following projects:
ii
ji a. Physics Building Addition No. 1
i; b. 1) Modernization of Graduate Research Laboratories
jj and 2) Graduate Research Laboratories, Chemistry
Building
! c. New Primary Electrical Distribution System - I96I
ji d. Remodeling of Terminal Building
jj e. Flight Operations Building
ij
2. Consider and act upon any other matter or business
ii which may come before said meeting,

ii President Hanley called the meeting to order at 9:31 a, m. All
i! members of the Board except two were present as follows: Messrs,
jj Creighton, Hanley, Kettler, Rumely, Schenck, Thompson and Wilson,
I The absences of Mrs, Van Ness and Mr, Branigin were excused by con-
ij sent of the Board, Also present were President Hovde, Treasurer
!j Stewart, Assistant Treasurer Freehafer, Executive Dean Mallett,
Ji Assistant to the President Hicks, Assistant to the Treasurer Gabbard,
I Assistant Business Manager Linn, Assistant Morris and Secretary
j! Skirmer. Mr. T, R. Johnston, Bureau of Information, and Mr. Frank
ji Arganbright of the Lafayette Journal and Courier were also in attendance.
