STATED MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TRUSTEES OF PURDUE UNIVERSITY

I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Tmstees (the "Board") of The Trustees of Purdue University (the "Corporation") convened in stated meefing at 9:15 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2003, Room 326, Stewart Center, Purdue University West Lafayette campus, pursuant to the following Notice mailed to each member of the Board by the Secretary on June 4, 2003.
In accordance with the Bylaws, there will be a stated meefing of the Board of Tmstees of The Trustees of Purdue University convening at 9:00 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2003, Room 326, Stewart Center, Purdue University West Lafayette Campus.
Specific Agenda items will be posted and distributed subsequently in the manner required by law.
II. ROLL CALL, FRIDAY, JULY 11, 2003.
Chairman McGinley called the meefing to order at 9:15 a.m. The following members of the Board were present as follows: Mrs. Edmondson, Messrs. Birck, Edwardson, Essex, Hardin, McGinley, Peterson, Powers and Townsend. Also present for all or part of the meefing were Dr. Jischke, President of the University; Mr. Bums, Treasurer of the Corporafion and Execufive Vice President and Treasurer of the University; Dr. Mason, the University's Provost; Board Secretary Behringer; Legal Counsel Benton; Senior Vice President Blackwelder; University Vice Presidents Almond, Bennett, Bottum, Kjonaas, Robinson, Rollock, and Strueh; Director of Intercollegiate Athlefics Burke; Director of Strategic Planning Mukerjea; Chancellors Bantz (lUPUl), Cohen (Calumet), Dworkin (North Central), and Wartell (Fort Wayne); Professor William Harper, Chair, University Senate; and Mr. Matthew Morgan, President, Purdue Student Government.
Chairman McGinley welcomed newly appointed Tmstee Bob Peterson to his first meeting and congratulated Tmstee Barbara Edmondson on her reappointment for another three-year term.
Chairman McGinley introduced Tmstee Peterson stating that Bob is a successful attorney, banker, farmer, businessperson and graduate of the polifical worid from Rochester, Indiana. Most of Bob's career has been as a lawyer where he has served very well in his county.  He is a past member of the State
