Relating to printing of Lectures, communication received, read, and on Mr. Barrett’s motion approved; communication reads as follows:Mch [March] 19-1900To the Board of Trustees of Purdue UniversityGentlemenFor a number of years it has been the practice to publish in pamphlet form most or all of the lectures given before our students by scientific and technical experts, especially those lectures which relate relate to railway engineering.I find that there has been no appropriation made for that purpose this year, nor can I learn that the matter has been specifically authorized.The number of lectures which it seems best to print this year will probably not exceed five or six. I request authority to print these so far as may be deemed best upon consultation with the departments interested.Very respectfullyW. E. Stone Vice Pres’t [President](2nd.) Relating to changes in staff of Employees. Request received, read, and on Mr. Harrison’s motion approved and reads as follows:Mch [March] 21-1900To the Board of Trustees of Purdue UniversityGentlemenI have to report that Mr. A. Bondelot, janitor of the Electrical Building at a salary of $40.00 a month, having resigned on Mch [March] 12th, there has been appointed to his place, subject to your approval, Mr. Martin Bringham at a salary of $35.00.Also that Miss Zula Green stenographer and clerk in the President’s office, having resigned on March 10th, there has been appointed to her place, subject to your approval, Miss Lucretia L. Biggs at a monthly salary at 35.00.Very RespectfullyW.E. Stone Vice President
