I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees (the "Board") of The Trustees of Purdue University (the "Corporation") convened in stated meeting at 1:40 p.m., Friday, November 18, 1994, in Room 3 04, Purdue Memorial Union Building, West Lafayette Campus, pursuant to the following Notice mailed to each member of the Board by the Secretary on October 17, 1994:
In accordance with the Bylaws, there will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convening at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 1994, Room 3 04, Purdue Memorial Union Building on the West Lafayette campus.
Specific Agenda items will be posted and distributed subsequently in the manner required by law.
II. ROLL CALL, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 1994.
Chairman McGinley called the meeting to order at 1:40 p.m. The following members of the Board were present as follows: Dr. Ecker, Ms. Eddleman, Messrs. Anderson, Hardin, Jesse, McGinley, Moreau, Taylor and Townsend. Also present for all or part of the meeting were Dr. Beering, President of the University; Dr. Ford, Treasurer of the Corporation and Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the University; Dr. Ringel, the University's Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs; Board Secretary Pearson; Legal Counsel Ryan; University Vice Presidents Burns, Fruitt, Gappa, Grace, Kjonaas, Lyon, Proenza and Wise; Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Burke; Chancellors Alspaugh (North Central), Wartell (Fort Wayne) and Yackel (Calumet); Angela Hale, Student Body President, Purdue Student Government; Professor A. Charlene Sullivan, Chairperson, University Senate and Professor Clifford Swensen, Vice Chairperson, University Senate.
The absence of Trustee Kampen was excused by consent of the Board. Chairman McGinley noted that Trustee Kampen has improved; his recovery is under way, and we are all looking forward to his returning to the Board as quickly as possible.
