I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees (the "Board") of The Trustees of Purdue University (the "Corporation") convened in stated meeting at 10 a.m., Sunday, December 21, 1997, in Room 304, Purdue Memorial Union Building, West Lafayette campus, pursuant to the following Notice mailed to each member of the Board by the Secretary on December 3, 1997:
In accordance with the Bylaws, there will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Tirustees of Purdue University convening at 10 a.m., Sunday, December 21, 1997, Anniversary Drawing Room, Purdue Memorial Union, on the West Lafayette campus.
Specific Agenda items will be posted and distributed siibsequently in the manner required by law.
II. ROLL CALL, SUNDAY, DECEMBER 21, 1997.
Chairman McGinley called the meeting to order at 10 a.m. The following members of the Board were present as follows: Messrs. Edwardson, Essex, Hardin, McGinley, McKenna, Moreau, Powers and Townsend. Also present for all or part of the meeting were Dr. Beering, President of the University; Dr. Ford, Treasurer of the Corporation and Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the University; Dr. Ringel, the University's Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs; Board Secretary Pearson; Legal Counsel Ryan; University Vice Presidents Bennett, Burns, Kjonaas, Sautter and Wise; Professor Linda Duttlinger, Chair, University Senate and Professor Stanley Hem, Vice Chairman, University Senate.
The absences of Tmstees Edmondson and Jesse were excused by consent of the Board.
