The annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of Purdue University was held
in Eliza Fov;ler Hall, on Monday, June 8, 1925, at 2 P. M.
President Marshall presided and the Secretary acted as secretary.

By consent the reading of the minutes of the last annual meeting, June 9, 1924, v/as omitted, the minutes having been read and approved at the meeting of July 9, 1924.
The minutes of the meeting of May 8, 1925, v/ere read and approved.
I.  REGARDING THE ?ERFOR:.!ANCE 02  THE DUTIES OF TIE TREASURER.
President Marshall reported that in accordance v/ith the informal request of the Board at the meeting of May 8, he had had an interview with Mr, James M, Fowler, Treasurer of the Board of Trustees, regarding the radical changes in the duties of the Treasurer which will be necessary when the laws enacted by the last General Assembly become effective, October 1, 1925, Mr. Fov/ler had agreed v/ith him that it would be necessary for the Treasurer to be in very close contact with the accounting departments of the University, and approved very highly of the suggestion that an Assistant Treasurer be appointed, located in the office of the Controller of the University, to perform the detail work"of the duties assigned to the Treasurer.
President Marshall also reported that the annual cost of a surety bond of $100,000.00, issued by a reliable surety company would be $250,00; and that the annual cost of a bond of $200,000.00 would be $500.00,
On motion of Mr. Noel, seconded by Mr, Ross, the report of President Mar¬ shall was received and accepted.
