| Description | Handwritten letter From: Horace P. Biddle, Logansport, August 17, 1844 To: George Winter, Dayton, Ohio ALS, 3 p. (one sheet, folded) Acknowledging G.W. letter of August 1, in which he reports that there are few in Dayton interested in buying his works. Refers to an Indian subject which has been commissioned there. People in Logansport who owe G.W. money seem to have no money to pay him. Biddle reports on the progress of his campaigning and the elections. Hopes G.W. will return soon. Several deaths in town recently. Notation on address side: received September 14, 1844; answered September 16, 1844. |
