| Description Continued | Scolds George Winter for taking ten months to acknowledge her last letters, sounding quite angry with him. Hopes he will eventually complete the miniatures he has been promising her for years. Their winter has been dull, mainly spent with the music pupils. News of family and friends, including the businss situations of Husten, Edwin, and William, and the health and children of Emma and Mathilda, sickness in Tom's family, her own health, Ann Maria's health and young son. Eliza has had her son, and they are living with her father (John), and her husband still cannot visit them. Robert's exhibit did not do well in New Orleans; they are now in St. Louis. News of other family, and deaths of various friends. Notation on address side: received May 30, 1848; answered June 17 and August 14, 1848. |
