Description ContinuedReference to Ben-ache's participation in the massacre of Detroit in 1812, written after his death. George Winter drew his portrait of Kee-waw-nay in 1838. Ben-ache was the father-in-law of the warrior Pee-ash-awa. Custom of eating the heart of a dead warrior to acquire his bravery; Captain Wells, who lived with the Indians for many years, was dealt with in this way by Blackbird's band after his death (quoted from a printed source).
