Charles
F.
Babbs
is
currently
Associate
Research
Scholar
in the
Department
of
Basic
Medical
Screening
in the
School
of
Veterinary
Medicine.
He
came
to
Purdue
in
1974
and
began
working
with
Dr.
Leslie
Geddes
and
worked
with
others
to
create
the
Department
of
Biomedical
Engineering
,
now
known
as the
Welder
School
of
Biomedical
Engineering.
He was
born
in
Toledo
,
Ohio
on
July
6
,
1946
and has
MS
and
MD
from
Baylor
College
of
Medicine.
Babbs
discusses
the
many
research
projects
and
investigations
undertaken
by the
Biomedical
Engineering
Research
group.
A
fellow
of the
American
Heart
Association
Council
in
Circulation
he was
named
the
astounding
professor
in
Basic
Sciences
,
Indiana
School
of
Medicine
,
Medical
Class
of
1993
and
1996.
