Chancellor

,

born
in
Cincinnati
,
Ohio.
He
earned
his
BA
from the
University
of
Cincinnati
and
Ph.D.
from the
University
of
Minnesota.
Dworkin
came
to
Purdue
in
1976
as a
faculty
member
in the
Krannert
School
of
Management.
He
talks
about
his
research
specialization:
labor
relations
in
professional
sports.
His
book
,
Owners
Versus
Players:
Baseball
and
Collective
Bargaining
was
selected
as
one
of the
10
best
outstanding
books
in
relations
and
labor
economics
by the
Industrial
Relations
Section
of
Princeton
University.
Dworkin
discusses
appointments
as
Associate
Dean
of the
Graduate
School
(1987)
and
Associate
Dean
of
Krannert
School
of
Management
(1998).
He
assumed
his
current
post
in
January
2000
,
replacing
the
former
Chancellor
Dale
Alspaugh.
In
2000
he was
inducted

Academy
of
