Abstract of InterviewKay is a Purdue graduate who arrived on campus in 1935 and resided in Duhme Hall, where Amelia Earhart and Lillian Gilbreth stayed when on campus. She attended talks given by Amelia Earhart. During high school she developed an interest in Home Economics and majored in Foods Management [Institutional Management, Now Hospitality and Tourism Management]. She discusses campus life during the 1950s & 1960s along with her position as Foods Supervisor/Dietician in a number of the residence halls for more than 25 years. Kay witnessed six new facilities built during that time. Both she and her husband, a Purdue graduate and faculty member in the School of Civil Engineering, have a family of twenty three Purdue graduates including children, grandchildren and spouses. She is " a very loyal Boilermaker."
