Abstract of InterviewMarion Baumgardner was a faculty member in the Department of Agronomy at Purdue from 1959 to 1997. He discusses his Pioneering Research with soil. He was a Director of Indiana Soil Laboratory and Director of LARS (Laboratory For Applications of Remote Sensing). He has consulted on soils in an international environment and is the recipient of numerous awards such as a Fellowship with the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, Agriculture Alumni Certificate of Distinction. Baumgardner is often referred to as Dr Global Agriculture.
