Abstract of InterviewTruman Martin is an emeritus Professor of Animal Science at Purdue. He talks about growing up in Texas, attending Texas A&M for undergraduate work and receiving a PhD. from Iowa State. He came to Purdue in 1955. As a geneticist, he conducted research on beef, swine, sheep, and dairy cows. In 1999 he was inducted into the Livestock Breeders Hall of Fame for his Research as well as serving as a mentor to many undergraduate students in Animal Science. In retirement he has been active in the Purdue Retirees Association.
