Abstract of InterviewCharles Ehresman is a Purdue alumnus, receiving a Bachelors degree in 1949 and a Masters degree 1951. Ehresman recounts his affiliation in the School of Mechanical Engineering Jet Propulsion Center and his association with Maurice Zucrow who received the first PhD from Purdue in Engineering in 1928. Ehresman worked for a number of years for Aerojet in an administrative capacity before returning to Purdue to work with Zucrow. He was involved in the naming the Rocket Testing Facility in the High Pressure Lab, Maurice J. Zucrow Laboratories. Even though he is retired, Ehresman comes to the office everyday and works with Mechanical Engineering students.
