Abstract of InterviewOscar Ozzie Leutkemeier grew up in Indiana. He received a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Science in 1942 and a Masters degree in 1949 after he served in WWII. He recounts his work as superintendent of the Purdue Agronomy Farm [now Agronomy Center for Research and Education (ACRE)] from 1946 until his retirement in 1986. He also tells about the visit of the King of Afghanistan to the farm in 1963 and Purdue campus life in the 1950s and 1960s. Quote: Agriculture is still very close to me.
