| Description | A $25 million gift from the Lilly Endowment Inc. to Purdue University's Discovery Park will be announced today (Friday, Jan. 21) at the Birck Nanotechnology Center, which is currently under construction. Discovery Park now includes five buildings — one, the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship, completed; and two more, the Birck Nanotechnology Center and Bindley Bioscience Center, which are under construction and scheduled to be completed this summer. Ground was broken during Homecoming Week on the e-Enterprise Center, where the Center for Advanced Manufacturing will reside. The university's trustees also have approved building the Discovery Learning Center. The Lilly Endowment gift provides launch and seed funds for four new Discovery Park interdisciplinary research centers and endowed support and seed funding for the six original centers.
