DescriptionThis year the band got new uniforms under Al Wright's direction. Purdue University Agricultural Extension helped educate the public with a state-wide initiative to inform. The outstanding 4-H woman of the year was Purdue University sophomore Linda Gould; she was selected to give the annual 4-H report to President Dwight D. Eisenhower. The new life sciences building was opened (later known as Lilly Hall).
Description ContinuedPurdue University's School of Pharmacy became the first school to teach in the field of isotopes. Building #2, the second building to be built on Purdue University's campus, was torn down due to old age. During the President's Review, President Frederick Hovde honored the soldiers that provided outstanding service.
