DescriptionThe Purdue University Band had the honor of being the first college band to play in Radio City Music Hall. A new six-story parking garage next to the Memorial Union was under construction, as was the new "H dorm" for women. Slayter Center for the Performing Arts was created and Ross-Ade Stadium field was lowered 8 feet and the seating capacity was increased to 60, 000.
