Keith Glennan, 43, as fourth president of Case Institute of Technology, May 21, received honorary degrees from Case. Each of the five had participarted in a symposium discussion on "The Increasing Responsibility of the Engineer and Scientist in Public Affairs" held as a feature of the two-day inaugural ceremony. Keith Glennan, new president of Case; Admiral Lewis L. Strauss, Atomic Energy Commission, Washington, D.C., Doctor of Humane Letters and Dr. Jones P. Baxter, III, president, William College, Doctor of Humane Letters. Delegates from more than 190 universities and learned universities attended this inauguration at Cleveland's 68-year old technical college. Circa 1948? |
