DescriptionPhotograph of President F.L. Hovde; George McKinnon and Hovde (right) McKinnon was member of 1927 UM football team. Later become congressman and friend of Nixon, who as president appointed him to a federal Court of Appeals judgeship in Washington. McKinnon was, in Hovde's opinion, a man "with more honesty and integrity than any man I ever met." Meeting was in mid-30's when Hovde was asst. dir. of general college.
